We plant what farmers call Cow Corn, or Silage Corn, known for its strong stalk and broad leaves. This hybrid corn grows very well in NC’s summer heat, needing little rain. It’s also resistant to worms and can grow to more than 9 feet tall. (If a bug or worm eats the corn, they get very sick and can’t reproduce.)
